Dear ReMa-first years!
WELCOME! This is the website of the research master student association SPES that offers its members some great opportunities related to the ReMa like social activities as organized by the Social Committee where we hang out and have a good time with fellow students. Such activities have been for example: pubquizzing (incl. social sciences questions 
), going for drinks, barbecueing, and going on fun trips. More knowledge-oriented events are organized regularly by the Workshop Committee. They’re aimed at broadening our horizon with workshops, lectures, and discussion rounds about self-chosen and relevant topics that are not covered by the current curriculum, such as a workshop whether ‘To Phd or not to Phd?’, a documentary night and discussion with Stephan Schleim about how the definition of freedom has changed since the industrial revolution and what led to it (like scientific and economic developments), a workshop with Trudy Dehue that inspired to think more critically within the social sciences and much more.
If you want to become a member of SPES to benefit from and contribute to these great activities, you can simply fill in the membership form on this website and send it in. After having transfered the one-time membership fee of 20 euros, you’ll be an official member of the association until your graduation!
